Head of Security at Sketch

I lead security at Sketch and build the processes, policies and culture that keep our platform and customers safe. My responsibilities include ISO 27001 ISMS ownership and audits, privacy and compliance work across GDPR and emerging regulations like the AI Act and the Accessibility law, vendor risk management, incident response, security training and a secure SDLC. I work across teams to turn standards into pragmatic practices that scale.

About me

I guess it’s no exaggeration to say that I knew early on what my passion was. I started coding when I was 14 years old and founded Coding Mammoth when I was still in college at the University of Ghent. At first, the software products I developed were mainly for myself. For example, while working on one of my first projects, I got super annoyed that the server I used kept going offline without any notice. So, I created a software application called Semonto that would send me a warning every time that happened. Fast-forward to 12 years later, and today Semonto is our most popular product. Coding Mammoth has grown out to be a real software agency with its headquarters in Antwerp. I can’t wait to see what the future brings. You can find my experience and projects on my LinkedIn profile.
